I am almost done with block 10! And even better, I will finish today - I've got maybe two hours of work remaining. That's a load off my shoulders. I know I've been like a broken record in saying this, but I just don't want to get behind with this piece. I had to laugh, until last night, I didn't get what the motif was at the top - it's the fencing surrounding the apple orchard, duh! :-)
Here is Quaker Meetinghouse - I have finished one more motif on the left side. I probably won't have time to work on this piece today as I had to train ride, but I'm bound to have it completed by the beginning of next week. I'm going to make it my priority since it will be a leftover from my October goals. I don't have any family to put their initials on so I'm going to put a couple more little Quaker motifs on either side of the red flower. That should be cute.
Today is my birthday and I'm 44 year old. When did that happen? I certainly don't feel like I'm 44 and for all intents and purposes, my life is half over. You know, I still don't know what I want to do when I grow up?! :-)

Happy birthday!
First of all - HAPPY BIRTHDAY!!!!! Enjoy your day. You're a "spring chicken" compared to me - I'll be 51 (gasp) in January and like you I don't know what I want to do with my life! Sounds like you're doing pretty well - you have special things you are doing (pugs, stitching) and you're helping your family (something to be proud of). I enjoy reading your blog and seeing your progress - I will just start being more "vocal" since I too think no one is reading my rantings.
HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO YOU!!!!!!!
Happy Birthday!! My birthday is tomorrow. I'm sure for me it will be just another day! :) I know what you mean though about trying to get out and meet people. I went to a couple of stitch-in's and it's the same after you say hello - they go back to talking to each other. Oh well, what can ya do?? I guess just keep showing up and keep trying. I also read your blog all the time! Keep your ching up - things will get better! :)
Oops! Keep your chin up not your ching! LOL! :) (I really should proof read more often!)
Margie, Happy Birthday! I hate funks, I hope you feel better soon.
Hugs,
Katrina
Margie, I understand how you feel completely! I have been a widow for 2+ years now and if it weren't for my needlework BB and reading stitchers' blogs I would feel all alone in the world too. Chin up for us both, we have friends in cyberspace!! :)
