When this is finished sometime next week, I'll start back on my St. Reatham and the goal will be to finish at least one page but I'd really like to finish two pages. This is where I left off.
Mostly ramblings about some of my passions, needlearts, working on my fixer upper and my dogs, pug Aoife and black labs, Isabelle and Benny.

Quaker Casket finis
I'm so pleased with this piece, it's a true heirloom. A stitching friend told me about another casket pattern and she is going to scan a photo of it so I can see it. If I like it, I'll start to search for the magazine it was published in. I also found another pattern - it's a Spanish style band sampler and I'm looking for that one also. I would love to be able to swap out the panels every couple of years or so. But really any band sampler could be adapted with just a little work. I have many band patterns so I'll be set for many years to come. :-)
The rest of the weekend will be about sewing the pugs Halloween costumes. We are going to a party next Sunday. This year I'm even going to dress up so I had better get going! I have a ton of sewing to do today.

The last page
As mentioned above, Clancy and I had an agility trial over the weekend. We bombed big time. On Saturday he was so hyped up he had no control and had several off courses and on Sunday I was just off, sending him to the wrong things and generally just flat. Currently we nothing on our calender but there are a couple of three and four day trials around the corner that I'm looking at.

a couple of small finis
I also finished up Part 9 of the Papillion Creations Mystery, How Does Your Garden Grow? I'm really late with this one as I except Part 10 to be out any time now. I'll start back with the Quaker Casket today with the final section - the top. :-)
And I finished up my front piece to the Quaker Casket. Only the top to go! :-)

All in a Moon finis
I stitched up All in a Moon yesterday - super, super quick! My sister's birthday is next month and I'm planning on giving this to her. I'll buy a small wood frame and add a few embellishments to it and paint it black. It was so quick, I might even make one for me!
Jill received the Prairie Schooler Exchange from the Hooked on Exchanging blog yesterday so I can share a photo. The design is stitched from "A Farmer's Almanac", #144, on 32ct. Silkweavers Poltergeist using DMC floss. I finished it as a pin/needle cushion and it's filled with 100% emery. I'm very happy with how it turned out and I think I might make a similar style one for me.

Loose Feathers Mystery finis
Wednesday, September 24, 2008
almost!
I was planing on starting my big Quaker Casket project but I picked up a cute little piece last week when I was at my LNS called All in a Moon by Miss Crescent's Crowne. It's a Halloween piece so the time seems right for it. I also want to work on the Papillion Creations Mystery. The latest part is very small so it will only take a couple of hours or so.

Yeah Clancy-Boy!
Here is my progress on the Loose Feathers Mystery. It's moving along nicely. I also found time to complete (ok almost!) my HoE Prairie Schooler exchange. I have to make a quick trip to Joanne's and get one last thing for it but it will go out in the mail tomorrow. I'm very happy on how it turned out and as soon as it has been received, I'll post a photo of it.

Loose Feathers Mystery part two
Sunday, September 14, 2008
a wet weekend
But I did have plenty of time to stitch! So I finished part one of the Loose Feathers Mystery. I really like how it's turning out. I made a bit of a start on part two so we'll see how much I get in today. Because of the rain, it's a perfect day to stay indoors and stitch and watch the Lord of the Rings movies. :-)

Sampler of Stitches finis
I finished up the last chapter of Sampler of Stitches this evening. :-) I started it on March 6, 2007. It seemed like it took forever for all the parts to be published. Now I need to start a new Drawn Thread piece since I always have a large piece in the works. So what's it to be? I have several at home.
Aoife and I had a wonderful time at our puppy agility clinic. I really learned a ton and the instructor, Ann Braue just loved Aoife. And even better, my own agility teacher Anne who also attended the seminar, told me I was doing great with Aoife's training.
