getting there

Here is my progress on Alphabet Sampler - this bottom portion is going to take forever. :-)

And my rug. I LOVE how this is turning out. And I can't wait to start another project. I spent hours yesterday looking for bigger projects. :-) But I think I want to put my own together. That will be tough since I don't have a wool cutter but I'll manage somehow.

That is wonderful..both the stitching and the hooking. I believe you are a hooker now ;)
Margie, does the store you buy your wool from cut the wool into strips for you? I know the one that I frequent will do this for their customers. Worth asking anyway. I also buy from a wonderful lady on line and she'll strip it too for free.

You are doing so great on this rug Margie. I can't believe how much you get done day by day!! And you're making great progress on the Alphabet Sampler. Why does it seem like the smaller projects seem to take the longest. It always does for me. Perhaps because it's smaller I think it will be done yesterday! LOL

Your rug looks great - stitching, too!
Um, I'm very much a lurker, not a poster, but I read all your posts and I saw this:

and remembered your lovely chairs and settee, and thought you might be interested. I'm not affiliated in any way with it or anything.

The rug is wonderful!!! I just really love it... pretty good for right out of the chute is what I say!

Please don't say that about the Alphabet Sampler, lol... if it will take you forever, I have no hope of ever being able to start and complete it, lol! As always, your stitching is looking fantabulous!

WOW Margie - I'm so impressed - hard to believe this is a first attempt for you and w/o a formal class or teacher - you are a natural! Love the backround on this too. Your BOAF sampler is coming along. Start looking on Ebay - you might could find a used cutter for a good price. Mel

Watching you work on the Alphabet Sampler is tempting me to pick it up again. I'm stitching it over one, which may explain why it has taken at least 4 years now! Can't wait to see it done!

Margie I can't believe you have time to fit yet another hobby like hooking. You are a wonder. I took a beginning class one time but the project is still in a bag after several years. I really should get it out and finish it. You are an inspiration. All your projects look lovely.
