almost Friday

I'm so looking forward to the weekend so I can play with all my projects. I HATE having to come to work and lose all that good crafting time. :-)

Here is my progress on my Alphabet Sampler from Birds of a Feather. As I was hoping yesterday, I have started on the border. Yeah! It will be done in no time at all.

And here is my rug. Thanks for all your comments yesterday! I was looking forward to saying I'm a hooker as my title! :-) I got some really good advice and I'm going to try to drive to the closest rug store in my area. I'll be going north to a town just north of Milwaukee proper. But then I can visit a nice quilting store as I drive south on the way home - I need to pick up some wovens for an applique project I've been thinking about. :-)

Isn't it difficult to be here when we could be stitching/crafting instead of listening to people blabbing about distressed debt and handing out 180 page presentations? Your rug looks great! You made a lot of progress last night.

You're making quick progress on the BOAF alphabet, and your new rug hooking kit!

Work sure has a knack for getting in the way of other pursuits, doesn't it?

You've got some wonderful projects on the go...I can see why you'd be looking forward to some time with them!

Can't wait to see the finished sampler and you are doing a fantastic job on your first hooking project! You just may be a natural born hooker.
Pug hugs :)

You're really zipping along on that rug! How exciting that you're going to make a trip to the rug store and the quilt store. Wish I could go too!

You are so right, work does have a way of interferring with stitching. Retirement is the solution to that problem! I love being retired.

Can;t wait to hear the report on your visit to the hooking store - we are not lucky enough to have real storefronts in the south that carry rug hooking stuff - it is completely a cottage industry down here however I am lucky enough that my local teacher and good friend has a studio and dye kitchen in her home and she can order anything we need - there is never a substitute for seeing things in person - have fun! You're making quick work of the BoaF sampler - it's really pretty and the fabric is oh-so-pretty! I love the start on your rug and cant wait to see more. It really does suck when work interferes, isn't it?

Your hooking is looking great! You're making quick progress on both your stitching and your hooking. I wasn't able to make it to my class today ;o(, so I'm going to have to rely on videos. Sounds like you have a great trip planned for this weekend. I'll bet you come home with a lot of goodies. Can't wait to see them.
