The Village of Hawk Run Hollow finis

The Village of Hawk Run Hollow
Carriage House Samplings
32 count Lakeside Linens Sand Dune
Using the recommended Needlepoint Silk colors

Well it's finished! This is my biggest project to date and I started it on August 5th of last year. There were many times where I was surprised that I was hanging on and still working on it. :-) I made changes to blocks two, four, six and eight.

I love how it turned out and I do plan on starting the House of Hawk Run Hollow sometime in the early fall. I have the chart and the linen but I need to start buying the silks - I'll use Needlepoint Silks also for the Houses, one over two like I did with the Village and I'll buy them a month at a time. It helps to spread the cost out over the year and if it's anything like the Village, the most expensive months will be the first four or so, after that many colors are duplicated.

Here is my progress on Celtic Heart - I'm hoping to start work on the actual heart tonight.

Margie,
Your VHRH is just spectacular!!!!! I am collecting up the silk as you did to spread the cost out a bit. I think I will start on mine this fall.

Congratulations again!!!!!!

Margie,

I'm so proud and happy for you!! What an accomplishment!!!!! I started it when it first came out - over one on 40 ct. - and eventually let it go. I think I had two blocks done and was hating every second of it. I"m going to do it eventually, and I hope mine turns out as great as yours!!! It is gorgeous!!!!

Your village is beautiful. You are the one that inspired me to start mine. I kind of bogged down, but now you have inspired me to get to work and finish it.

Your VoHRH is lovely, and an inspiration. I just purchased the chart, and already had some fabric that will work nicely.

It is absolutely stunning Margie! You are my hero go stick with this for an entire year. I want to get both Houses and Village done one day. I have to make it my goal to do one a month like you have done. Congrats on your finish!

Congratulations on your finish!! That is quite an accomplishment. I like your idea of one block a month. I plan to start it soon and will use your same plan of one block a month. You are an inspiration. You are the first one I have seen actually finish the entire thing.

Congratulations on your finish! I don't think ive seen this finished in blogworld until now! I really want to buy this chart and stitch this piece as i love it but the cost has been putting me off for the time being. I like your month at a time idea though
