It's official

I'm in a slump! I haven't put in one stitch in the evening in a week. I just don't feel like it. :-) But what I don't like is I'm not doing anything else except watching TV. I HATE just watching TV but it's seems like it's all I have the enthusiasm to do. I'm sure this will pass but I'm thinking if my desire to do my stitching is slowing down (as it does every couple of years or so) this would not be a good time to invest a ton of money into this hobby. So I'm rethinking my plans to join all three of the Thistle Threads university projects - especially since they cost $$$$ over the course of the three projects.

Of course this could change and I'll keep you posted. :-)

Go look through your stash- that always helps me get into the mood to stitch, remembering things I want to stitch, etc. :)

I've been in much the same slump for a little while now. I think a lot of it is the weather and all the holidays, etc. going on. I would just give yourself a break and I'm sure your interest will spark back up. Evergreen looks lovely.

I hear you about the slump. My problem it seems that every evening my Rory has to sit in my lap. And it is extremely hard to stitch with him at 60 lbs now. :)

One thing I have found that helps me in a slump is to go through my stash for a new start. Usually something small.

Boy, can relate to the slump. I've picked up three different projects in the past week and just pretty much stare at them. I'm toying in investing in rug hooking and quilting again, but that's a lot of $$$$. I hope you get out of your slump soon.

Oh dear. I hate stitchy slumps. :( I hope you get out of it soon. I like the suggestion of going through your stash. Also, I don't know if it's this, but sometimes I just feel overwhelmed by all I want to stitch and that sort of paralyzes me and I can't stitch anything! Keep us posted. I love those Thistle University pieces.

It must be something to do with the time of year, as I was in a terrible slump in November and was almost in tears looking for a new stitchy project to get me out of it. Mine has passed thank goodness and I hope yours does too.

I agree with Sandra, it's the time of year. Hope your funk passes soon and you get right back to it!
