Doing the Friday Happy Dance and BIG NEWS!

One of many weekend goals is to finish Mrs. Pearson's dress. Doable I think but I also want to get a lot more done on House #5. We'll see. :-)

I'm so glad it's Friday - I have had the week from hell at work. I've been plagued by mistakes and tasks that should have taken minutes have taken hours. I can't wait to get out of here. :-)

In other HUGE news today, this morning I made my Weight Watchers goal. :-) I started my diet on November 4th and as of this morning I have lost almost 60 pounds. My original pie-in-the-sky goal was 135 and this morning I weighed in at 134.6. :-) I'm going to go for an even 60 pounds however so I have 2.6 more to go - about two weeks more of actual dieting. I've gone from a 16+ (the + means the size 16s were tight) to a size 4! I never in a million years did I see me as a size 4. Even years ago when I was running around 20-25 miles a week did I managed to get smaller than an 8.

Many years ago (2001) I ran a marathon and even did a sprint triathlon (2002) and after a few joint injuries totally stopped working out. That is when the weight started to pile on. I didn't even realize how miserable I had become until a couple of months ago when I woke up one day and I wasn't so miserable. :-) I never thought that the weight could just run me down the way it did, mentally and physically. Now I'm running pain free and I hope to do a 5k in June. And my attitude is 180 degrees different. :-)

Life is good :-)

Congratulations on your weight loss! That's wonderful! It's amazing how weight can pile on and we don't even realize it until one day we look at ourselves and are quite freaked out! I think it's just wonderful and I'm sure that you're so absolutely pleased! Can't wait to see more of Mrs. Pearson.

Since 2006 I've lost approx 90 lbs. How much better I feel just amazes me. The weight creeps on and we don't realize how much it wears us down.

Congrats to you!

Congrats, on a great accomplishment. I know how hard it is. I did it once, but that was a long time ago. You are a better person for having stuck with it. Great stitching, too!!!

Good for you, Margie!! That is just awesome that you've reached your goal. I'm having such a difficult time getting rid of those last ten pounds, so it's good to know that it actually can be done. :)

You've lost 60 pounds since November 2008??? Good heavens, you're amazing! I've been struggling with weight loss since January and have lost maybe 15 pounds, which seems absurdly little considering how much excercise I've been doing in addition to eating better. A huge and happy congratulations from me to you!

And Mrs Pearson looks fab!

Even when I weighed 135 I wasn't a size 4, you must be so tiny!

WOO HOO, YOU! Now please don't worry about those 60 pounds that you've lost. I found them and seem to have tucked them into my jeans for safekeeping.

Congratulations on such a fabulous accomplishment!

I have to tell you that you always are such an inspiration to me. Whenever I need stitching inspiration, I come to your blog. And in the past few months, I have also found you an inspiration for weightloss and getting in shape. I too am doing WW, and hope to someday have the announcement of saying I met goal. Thanks for sharing this with all of us, you don't know how much your blog means to me.

My goodness, 135 lbs. I can't even imagine what that looks like on you...and you're so image-resistant on your blog - apart from your creativity and pets. Happy for you, continued good health, creativity and fulfillment.
