Sampler of Stitches STU finis

I finished up STU this morning. Super quick like the other six. I can't wait to the last two to be released. Hopefully they will be sent out together like the first six were. Then I'll be finished! I can't stand it when a project drags on this long. :-)

I received my first Nashville releases in the mail yesterday from Elegant Stitch. I need to start to gather silk for Shores of Hawk Run Hollow (that chart came) - I'm going with Hand Dyed Fibers instead of NPIs. I also received from LHN, My Needle's Work and Home of a Needleworker 2 and from BBD Mildred's Garden House and I Thee Wed. I'm still waiting for everything I ordered from Drema. :-( I sure hope it comes soon, I'm dieing to see it all.

I'm going to put my bitch hat on for a second. Does anyone else get pissed off by paying $30+ dollars for a photo copied chart? I love CHS designs but the quality of the charts just sucks. And they are not cheap. How is it that other designers manage to put out higher quality charts for the same amount of money and sometimes even less?

Hi Margie,

Your Alphabet Sampler is beautiful! Your stitching is so pretty! :)

Love your alphabet sampler.

I do prefer a chart with a normal photo. Not a copy.

I think your sampler looks great.

I agree, paying a lot of money for a cheaply produced chart doesn't make me very happy either.

Oh wow! Your sampler is wonderful. I may have to steal your idea of stitching it if I ever get around to getting the charts.

Yep, I hate copy paper charts. I do sometimes make working copies, but I'd like that to be my choice...not something I purchase.

That sampler is just gorgeous!!!!!!

Words from my mouth - about the charts - It really does make me mad but what can one do - I hate them and would prefer some nicer paper and them let me make a working chart, I always do to keep the original clean.

Gorgeous STU finish!

Oddly enough, I've never been bothered by the CHS paper. Of course her older designs are on card stock, and that's largely what I've been stitching from. I'll have to pay closer attention now!

I agree with you. I appreciate designers that have a beautifully put together product - good photo, good chart, good quality, etc. Paying $30 for a chart is something I usually balk at too, so I want it to be worth my money.

STU looks beautiful!
