Yeah Aoife!

Two years in the making - Aoife's first Novice Standard Qualifying score and it was a first place with 100 points! We still have a long way to go before she is at the excellent level and I'm sure it might be several more months before she earns another one, but at least she is on the road.

Not to be outdone, Clancy qualified each day in Novice Jumpers with Weavers Preferred. :-)

Isabelle had her first physical therapy appointment last Friday and her outlook is excellent! She will still be in the splint for at least two weeks and for two weeks after a soft bandage so that means the cone for another four weeks at least. We are also going back to the office every Friday for the next six weeks ($$$) for laser treatments and physical therapy. In just two and a half weeks in the splint the muscles on the right side of her body are already larger and her left leg is getting smaller.

But the vet cleared her some freedom during the day when I can keep an eye on her. She spent her first free afternoon sleeping on the couch with the other girls. And she can also go back to obedience class. :-) We lost our space in agility class and will have to restart at some point in late winter. It is always tough to find beginners classes in my area as the really good agility instructors only like to give advanced classes. But I'm hoping I can get her as far as an intermediate class on my own. I have trained three other dogs in agility and do know the beginnings at this point. :-)

Congratulations! And if you don't mind my asking, how do you pronounce the dog's name?

I'm glad that Isabelle is doing so well! And congrats to Clancy, too!

Kudos to the pups! Including Isabelle for her prognosis. Look at that poor baby! But she has a good home and is very well cared for so she is still very lucky compared to the hurting and hungry homeless.

Congrats to the pugs! Poor baby though, they always look so forlorn in the cone.

Congrats to you and Aoife...good job!! Your pugs are adorable. They have the sweetest faces. And I'm so glad that Isabelle is doing as well as can be expected. I love how the pugs watch over her. Glad she gets to spend some time out of the crate. Hang in there Margie!! Hugs and have a great week.

Congratulations Aoife and Margie, sometime it just takes time for all the hard work to pay off, and what a payoff! Go Clancy as well. Great to see Iz doing so well, I think she is amazing to still be wearing her cone. When my mature, level headed, layback Vizsla had to wear one once, she stood in the middle of the kitchen with her head on the floor and wouldn't move!

Congrats to the pugsters! Very cool.
Izzy sure looks uncomfortable in her lampshade. I'm glad she's doing well, all things considered!
Pug hugs :)

Excellent pugs!! And kudos to you for sticking through it and having confidence in them and yourself.

I'm glad Isabelle is on the mend and seems to be dealing with her cone.

Glad to here that your lab Isabelle is better. Our Irish Setter Tucker thought that running full speed a head from the back garden up the stairs and across our deck was a great idea!!!! Wrong because he went through the glass pane of our back door and slit an artery. Our back garden was covered in snow and it looked like someone had been murdered. Our back door now has plexi glass. Tucker is fine but he was wrapped up like Isabelle. Dogs they are a bunch of trouble sometimes, but we love them!

Congrats on your ribons and placings...and glad to hear that Isabelle is on the mend and doing well. She looks like she really enjoyed the "stretch out" on the couch, despite the cone.

They are lucky to have such a caring home!!
