long weekend

I didn't get much cross stitching done over the weekend - actually none. :-) Any progress I made was on the train this morning. I did sew some curtains for my front room bow window and I cut out some fabric for a valance that I'm making for the dining room. That was good progress given everything else I had going on.

It was a long weekend taking care of Isabelle. The poor baby is in pain and can't understand why I won't let her play anyway. I'm supposed to keep her on a leash when I let her outside but that proved impossible because she is so strong and determined and just pulls my arms off. The best I've managed is to keep her from launching herself off the deck. She still tries to run but usually stops short when she realizes just how much it hurts. It's going to be a long month.

I'm glad you got some needlework time this weekend Margie. You sure deserved it. Isabelle looks blue but soon enough, soon enough sweet puppy, she'll be able to run and jump!! Hugs to both of you.

Puppies know no bounds sometimes! I see from the previous post that she had grown into a beautiful lab.

I feel so bad for your Isabelle. If I was close to you I would offer to sit with her while you're at work. My cousin's dog had to take an anti-anxiety pill like Ativan to keep her relaxed while she was in a cast. Keep us posted on her progress.

Oh Margie there is nothing more frustrating than a 'dog' who thinks they are well! Being a puppy wouldn't help, but Iz will get there, with all your tender loving care. Oh and the Pugs.

Poor Isabelle! Hopefully the pain will go away soon, as she heals, but then it might be even worse trying to restrain her from playing. I hope the next few weeks aren't too traumatic for both of you.

I'm so sorry about what happened to Izzie. I know you're a real 'dog person' and it must have just been awful to have such an accident happen when you take such good care of your animals. I hope Izzie recovers quickly...told my DH about the accident, who would even think a dog could get into so much trouble?

Your new house is looking great - the improvements you've made are just wonderful. Hope you are enjoying coming home to it every day.

I am glad to see Iz is getting better and what a horrible, horrible experience for the two of you. What a wonderful sister (and friends) to help you clean so you could give your attention to your puppy!

I have a 90 pound, plus chocolate lab (our last one was a black lab) and he can pull me right over - and I am not small!! So take care for both of you.

Glad you did manage to get some curtains done over the weekend with everything else you had going on. And a little bit of stitching this morning is a good thing - it's looking pretty! Poor Isabelle. She'll be back to running and jumping in no time!
