not such a magical day

We had to take my mom to emergency last night. She's been sick since Saturday night and late last evening it became clear that things were not going to improve without intervention of some kind. She is currently in the ICU and so far the staff there is clueless as to the problem and there is no ETA on her being released or even being moved into the regular wards.

I've had a bit more time for stitching as we have been spending large chunks of time at the hospital. Not really how I wanted to spend my vacation (and I'm sure my mom can say the same) and I hope she starts to improve soon.

Oh, So very sorry to hear this, you are both in my prayers! Hope she quickly improves and the docs find out what the problem seems to be! There are certainly better ways to spend your vacation, but your precious Mother deserves your best and she is certainly receiving all the love and care you can give! Perhaps later on you two can play together again - soon we hope!

That's terrible. It's never good to be sick on vacation nor in the hospital but to be in a strange hospital! Please tell me you still get to wear your costume. Is it bad that I feel sorry for all the work you've done? I'm a bad person...

Oh Margie, I am sure nothing else is important to you right now besides your mom getting well. Lots of good thoughts and prayers that they figure out what is wrong and she recovers quickly.

I am sorry to hear about your mom. I hope she feels better before she has to fly home. It awful to fly when you don't feel well. If I can help with anything at work or in any other way, please let me know. BTW.. I will be at Northshore on Saturday if you need anything.
