I worked from home yesterday and again today because my car is in the shop getting some much needed work done. $1,400 later it sounds great. But that means no train ride and no stitching for the past two days. I did manage to finish the border on Ms. Fred. Now back to the fun part. Yesterday about 3/4 of my DMC #8 arrived in the mail. Such pretty colors. See that big pile of blue thread? When I went to pick up my car this morning from the repair shop, one of the dogs took the bag off my coffee table no doubt thinking it was food. They are pugs after all and searching for food is one of their bad habits. Georgie got one of the balls out and made a total mess of it. And to add insult to injury while I was taking the photo of this I must have taken my eyes off them for a second, he grabbed one more and the second photo is the results.

The colors are great. You have to be at least getting a little excited about these projects. Your bad boy looks like he was having a good time. They are cutest when they are doing things they are not supposed to.
Yeah for working at home. I am at home today as well. The only real issue is that I have been busy since 7:30. I don't work this hard in the office:)
I'm sorry to hear about your car woes Margie! It's always something isn't it? I love all that DMC perle cotton! We've had the dogs get mine too! I love the Civil War Tribute quilt pattern and the fabrics are really pretty!
OK. Totally had to laugh at the pic of the dog with the thread in its mouth. I feel your pain. I went away for five days and came home to find a HUGE bunch of my silk threads in a tangled knot.
Fred is looking great! What a bummer about the thread. George does look like he's having fun though. Love those fabrics for the next part of the Civil War BOM! Good luck with the house cleaning.
Sorry about the thread....but we do love our pets don't we? Really...it's pretty funny! Love the fabrics for the quilt block...beautiful. Have a great weekend and enjoy your time with your friend. Happy stitching...
I bet you weren't angry with Georgie for too long, since he's so cute! :-) I hope the thread is still useable.
Great going on Fred, really pretty!
Fred is looking great! I love the colors! George doesn't look one bit remorseful to me - I think he had a great time!
The Civil War fabrics are so pretty - can't wait to see it all finished!
Have "fun" cleaning your house. I do love a company clean house!
Fred looks great! Isn't living with pups an experience... sometimes I think it's like living with toddlers. Turn your back for a second and you never know what will happen!
Love the fabrics!
What a beauty! The thread colors are just marvelous! I agree with Terri! Looks like George was having a great time. haha
It's so funny how you got to capture the scene!
Have a great weekend~~
The colors are just beautiful! George is so darn cute! OMG! How could you get mad for long:) What a funny picture, who says cats have more fun?!
Very funny pug photo. Good for you being finished with your border.
