I'm really close to starting the actual pieces that make up the Big Zipper. I have run into a bit of a sticky point however. I only purchased two skeins of Tarnished Gold for the border and I have run out. There are still a few outlines to go using this color. I have a leftover skein from another projects that doesn't match. So I need to decide if I want to use this skein or pick out another color entirely or drive a hour each way to my LNS where I purchased all the floss for this project so it matches. Right now I'm leaning toward finding a totally new color because I don't think it will make any difference in the look of the overall project. And I've put enough money into it already without another two hours in the car driving back and forth to my LNS. And I still need to purchase one of the kits. :-) And all the buttons. I think I have my answer. :-)

That is the right decision - go for a new colour altogether - The piece is coming along nicely!!
I think you answered your problem nicely. A new color will be fine.

i am glad that the frogs go.
the piece look really good, and a new color is a good idea.
I think a new color is a great way to go!! I'm glad the frogs are gone and hope they will never visit you again!!!
Sometimes it just helps to think out loud, doesn't it?
Glad the frogs have moved along. I just hope they don't visit me next!!
Margie, the kitty is v. cute, and I think your decision to go with an entirely new color is working splendidly. I raise my glass and toast the frogs' departure from your neck of the woods! I hope you've had a great weekend! ~Robin
