a wild week

It's been a wild couple of days at my place. Last week my brother-in-law had some pretty intense surgery that was very unexpected. He originally was supposed to go in on Wednesday but the surgery was stopped midway through after the docs realized that it would be much more complected then they first thought and rescheduled him for Friday. So I picked up my sister's 16 week old yellow lab, Hunter. Such a sweetie! The pugs even like him despite his larger than life size. :-) My sister needs to be at the hospital as much as she can and not worrying about Hunter was a huge relief for her.
Sweet Hunter.
Hunter and Georgie deciding what to play with next.

Then just to really complicate things more, the OTHER lab puppy my sister and brother-in-law purchased a month ago was scheduled to arrive into town last Saturday and once again I was pressed into service. Meet 9 week old Trixe (I've been calling her Izzy, short for Isabelle).

She is the sweetest thing ever. I'm secretly hoping she will be just too much for my sister and brother-in-law, with his very long recovery before him, to deal with and she will get to stay with me forever. :-) Yeah, I know, it's just wishful thinking as my sister stopped by last night to meet her and also fell in love. As it is, it will just kill me to give them both up after three or four more weeks. I think one little black lab is perfect payment for all my trouble. :-)

Izzy would make a wonderful agility dog. At nine weeks old she is just a tad smaller than the pugs. By next week, she will be larger then all of them.

So not a quilt or stitching piece was worked on since mid-last week. I just don't have time with all the chasing after puppies I have to do. :-)

I love the top picture with everyone in a circle looking up. The other pics are priceless too. Wow two lab puppies at once. How do you handle all that CHEWING??

I think Izzy will be a nice thank you gift for taking care of puppies!

Hoping the surgery and recovery goes well too.

Hope all is well with your BIL. What a fabulous time you have had. Hunter is so expressive, and little Trixie/Izzy adorable. They do grow so quickly.

You will have to take plenty of piccies for your sis!

Great pic of the pugs and Lab (and your feet)! You are a good soul to watch all those doggies. But, I'll bet it's a lot of chaotic fun!

Priceless pics Margie! Wow, a 16 week-old and a 9 week-old as well as your five! Wish I lived in your house. Of course, Izzy should be yours if she's agility quality. (Even if she's not)

What fun ~ and bedlam! I just love that first picture. And Izzy...OMG how precious, but after having a 6 month old foster for a month, I think I prefer the older ones...lol! WAY too much energy and I only had one!
Hope your BIL has a speedy recovery.

Oh, I think I'm in love! I wish your bil a quick recovery because it is going to be hard enough for you to give these cuties up!

Oh my goodness I love all of your dogs dogs dogs!!!Those labs are already huge! I just got a shepherd mix puppy in November and I am trying to figure out how big she is going to get. She is a rescue and we don't know what she is mixed with-some say lab. But those lab puppies are already her size and she is now 5 months. Hmm...
