added the buttons!

I finished stitching the Big Zipper several months ago but I never added the ten buttons. Since I changed everything included linen, I could not use the big ones that came with all the kits. I ordered the replacements buttons right away but just got lazy and never put them on. Yesterday while going through my stash I came across the package and decided I needed to finish this bad boy off. So now it really is finished. :-)

Have a great weekend!

Wow, you are on a roll! I like this one a lot. I hope this will help with the whole slump thing too; nothing like finishes to fire a stitcher up!

I'm so glad to see this piece again, all finished! It's wonderful! Congrats on the finish! So how did you figure out what buttons to use with the fabric size you used? Was it hard to find them? I love how they look! I would definitely have done the same thing and stitched on a higher count fabric.

Oh this piece is just wonderful. I love it. And the buttons are the right finishing touch. I also love your finish from yesterday. Evergreen is just beautiful.

You ended your slump pretty quickly. My guild Chrismas party is in the far south burbs. I am going to Country Cupboard and Inspired Needle tomorrow. Do you need anything?

This is a wonderful piece. I am hoping you can share the name of the piece and the designers name. I really enjoy reading your blog.

gee whiz
it looks great!
i have to pull mine out and get some more done....then pack it away a few more months
what are your plans for it
framing?
i was thinking if i ever finished mine it would look good like a stretched canvas on a frame
then i have other ideas
i suppose finishing would be the first order though

Great finish. I love your blog

Beautiful! Isn't it funny how that last little bit of finishing can sometimes keep a piece from being completely finished? I have a piece that just needs a button and a ribbon on it to call complete, but I haven't done it yet!
